This year, 2006, Brilliant Classics celebrates its tenth anniversary. To mark this occasions we issue 10 boxes with 10 CDs each. They are dedicated to the music by ten great composers.
4 CDs of this set are taken up by Telemanns Tafelmusik. Most enjoyable recordings by Music Amphion under Pieter-Jan Belder on period instruments. In addition there are several discs with concertos for flute, trumpets, oboe etc. Two more discs are filled with the other Matthäus Passion.
The instrumental soloists include Jed Wentz (flute), Otto Sauter (trumpet) and Thomas Indermühle (oboe) with sparkling performances. |
