What to expect?. Energetic performances and thoroughly researched interpretations by ensembles like La magnifica Communitá and The Netherlands Bach Ensemble. And some big names such as the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields and the Kings College Choir, Cambridge
And the repertoire? Of course there are Bachs Brandenburg Concertos, Handels Water Music and Vivaldis Four Seasons. But also music by Albinoni, Locatelli, Telemann, Purcell, Couperin and Corelli.
In fact there are some real gems to be found: Musica Amphion in a selection from Telemanns Tafelmusik and Musica ad Rhenum in Les Nations by Couperin. Jed Wentz beautifully presents Locatellis flute sonatas and Mela Tenebaum carries out daredevil feats while engaged in battle with with the same composer.
